The exploration takes the form of an iterative process that distills the formal essence of a cultural past to reach an entry point to the present: Through positing “Haft Peykar” — a significant literary narrative of Persian language from 12th century — as the site of architectural conception, Tracing Apparitions reimagines the central role of representation techniques in the story’s narrative formation and historical imagination. for a safe, intimate, nurturing, and community-oriented school. The centripetally arranged building creates a social dynamic which encourages the enriching interaction between pupils of different ages where students and faculty from diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds may thrive within the same space. arrangements that are characteristic of the layered mysteries created by the emperor. In accommodating “The House for Piranesi”, the project takes into account the elusive nature of history and program by accommodating a program of ‘Otium’ and ‘Negotium’. This is explored by developing an architectural language using a variety of impulses and devices. It begins by proposing an inversion and multiplication of the found condition of coved poche contrasted with the more honed edges, characterizing the external faces and building tectonics. Having in mind that both the internal and external qualities are slaves to the passage of time.
